“Your Hands”

Wind whipping
rumbling
speeding
holding on tight
spring’s scents rushing by
blur of green flashing past.

I watch your hands as they grip the bars,
gloves,
tanned skin,
arm hair blowing.
freckles being born.
your hands.
human hands.
Life’s hands.
love’s hands.

Working hands.
Rough hands.
Fixing hands.
Warm hands.
Strong hands.
Gentle hands.
Caressing hands.
Healing hands.
Creative hands.
Helping hands.
Peaceful hands.
Knowing hands.
Loving hands.

Your hands,

holding tight,
not letting go,
pulling closer and holding tight.
Holding tight and moving forward.
Hands molding, creating, and loving.

Ever changing, ever growing, eternal.
