Orchard Beach in September

Some of the sights around Orchard Beach in September…

Orchard Beach is where my family has lived for over 60 years, along Mill Creek, on the Chesapeake Bay.

Fall, my favorite time of year, has definitely arrived. Mornings are cool and crisp, the humidity having evaporated, and the leaves crunching. These kinds of mornings make me think of camping. Fall is also harvest time for the pumpkins and other goodies from the garden (lots of hot peppers this year and GIGANTIC pumpkins – see below!)

I love fall because of the colors, and the respite from the summer heat and humidity, also because of my birthday (September 25th), and the nearing of holidays, especially Halloween and Thanksgiving (two of my favorites!).

Fall is a great time to light a bonfire, go canoeing on the creek, and go for walks in the woods. Come, take a walk with me…
