In the summer of 2015, I moved from Annapolis, Maryland to the state of Washington, in the Pacific North West (PNW). I had lived in Maryland my entire life along the Chesapeake Bay where my family lived for 5 generations.
I moved to start a PhD program at the University of Washington in Seattle. A year before, I had visited the PNW for the first time to scope out the University, the city, and surrounding areas and began the long journey to make this place my new home.
I’ve been learning a lot about myself, my neighbors and the earth around me on this journey. Please join me as I discover this beautiful new-to-me land of mountains and forests.
